Scheduling a 2018-19 Family STEM Night
Have a Family STEM Night at your school!  Thank you for your interest in holding a Family STEM Night at your school during the 2018-2019 academic year.  Please put a request in for any available dates listed below.  We will get back to you in early September to let you know if you will be able to provide this event at your school this year.

We are again gathering a team of NC State students and faculty who can come to your school and run an evening session of hands-on STEM activities for families to complete together. Because of increasing demand for our services, we have created a quick survey to gather information about your scheduling priorities and limitations, space constraints, possible parent volunteers and your school population. We will use this information to schedule the STEM night for your school and will work with you on a one-on-one basis to make adjustments and final plans.

Some important reminders:

Time: 6 to 7:15 p.m. (setup begins between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.)

Cost: It is FREE to schools, but please provide pizza or potluck meal for our student volunteers prior to the event.

Location: We suggest having these events located in the cafeteria as we have some activities that involve water.

Number of Participants: There is no limit, and we want to get as many families involved as possible!

Student volunteers miss dinner at the dining hall and would be unable to eat if not for dinner provided by each elementary school.  Pizza is plenty, although some schools have provided home-cooked pasta dinners, potluck or alternate inexpensive catered meals.
