The Currituck Extension Foundation exists to support the charitable and educational efforts of the Currituck County Extension center and its affiliated groups in improving the quality of life through research based education and programs for Currituck residents.
The Currituck Extension Foundation administers the Currituck 4-H Backpacks for kids weekend feeding program for needy elementary students in all of Currituck's elementary schools. The organization provides scholarship support to youth and adults to participate in local, state, and national educational conferences and camps. CEF also provides short term loans for participants in 4-H entrepreneurship programs. The organization additionally provides mini grants to staff of the Currituck Extension Center to develop innovative programs that target community well-being.Â

Currituck 4-H Backpacks for Kids provides weekend meals for elementary students in Currituck County that are identified by school counselors as being at risk for food insecurity.
