2018 Canning Series



2018 Home Canning Series
NC Cooperative Extension is holding a series of home canning classes from 1:30 - 3:30 pm at the Camden County Senior Center. Each class requires a $15.00 class fee. Check out the dates and descriptions below. Each class offers a hands-on experience!

Salsa - August 29th
Participants will be preparing two types of salsa, Spicy Tomato Salsa and Papaya-Pineapple Salsa, which will be preserved using a water bath canner.

Fruit Butters - September 12th
Fruit butters are thick, smooth spreads flavored with fruit and spices. In this class, participants learn how to preserve and prepare apple and pear butter. Once the butters are made a water bath canner will be used to preserve them.

Pre-registration is required. You can register below or by contacting the office at 252- 331-7630. Class size is limited and reservations confirmed upon receipt of class fee.

Payments can be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center or by mailing a check made payable to “Camden County” to PO Box 129 Camden, NC 2792. Please include in your check memo line the name of the class(es) you wish to attend.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
