Rules
• Competition is open to anyone.
• Entries must be received in the Guilford County Extension office by June 5, 2019. Late entries will not be eligible for prizes. The complete ice cream recipe must be included on this entry form.
• Contestants must furnish ice, ingredients, utensils, ice cream freezers (manual or electric) drop cords, bowls and spoons for tasting, a table for display, and rock salt. Providing copies of your ice cream recipe is a bonus to distribute to Market visitors. Ice will not be provided.
• All recipes must contain REAL dairy products. Raw eggs in the final product are not allowed.
• Ice cream mix must be made ahead and kept chilled until churn-off begins.
• Contestants will be required to taste their finished product before judging begins.
• Contestants must check in at the outside area near the Berry Patch at the Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market by 10:30 am.
• Judging will begin at 12 noon. A first and second place winner will be determined by a panel of judges. $150 in monetary prizes will be awarded to winners in each division: Adult and Youth.
