DRO Overflow Testing

DELTA Testing Services assists the Disability Resource Office by offering additional space on Centennial Campus for accommodated testing.

*Due to the high volume of students we serve, we can not guarantee your exam appointment time will overlap with your class time. Students are responsible for coordinating an acceptable time with their instructor.

Final exam request must be submitted by April 3, 2024.

  • Students should first reach out to the Disability Resource Office to see which test center will work best for them.
  • If it’s decided testing at the DELTA Test Center will work best, then the students must complete the DELTA Accommodation Request Form. The form must be submitted at least 5 business days prior to the exam date to provide our office with enough time to process the request.
    • Requests received beyond this time will be considered late. Students should contact their instructor and have them email, delta_accommodations@ncsu.edu with the exam material, length of the exam, and materials allowed.  We will make reasonable efforts to process your request once this information has been received.
  • Once the request has been received, DELTA Testing Services will email the instructor requesting exam information.
  • Once the exam information is received from the instructor:
    • If approved, the student will be notified that their accommodations have been processed and they can schedule their exam appointment.
    • If unapproved, the instructor and student will receive an email notifying them that DELTA Testing Services can not proctor exams for this course due to the materials allowed. The instructor and student should make alternate arrangements.
      • DELTA Testing Services does NOT permit students to use the internet or ANY personal devices (laptops, tablets, etc.) to access any notes or textbooks. Notes/Textbooks allowed must be printed, handwritten, or accessible via their LMS. TI-Nspire calculators are not permitted, students may borrow a graphing calculator from the test center.
      • If the student chooses to forfeit the use of the unapproved materials allowed, they can contact us directly at delta_accommodations@ncsu.edu to keep their request.
  • After the request has been approved, students will visit go.ncsu.edu/takemytest to schedule their exam appointments.
  • Due to the high volume of students we serve, we CANNOT guarantee the exam appointment will overlap the class time. It’s the student’s responsibility to schedule the exam at the appropriate time.

DELTA Accommodation Request Form

When completing the accommodation request form, students will select the second option, “Yes, I have a DRO letter and my entire class DOES NOT test with DELTA”. Students must attach a PDF copy of the official accommodation letter they receive from the Disability Resource Office to this form. This letter states CONFIDENTIAL at the top, and lists both the current semester and the accommodations that are received for the student’s course.
