About this event

As we celebrate Farm City Week in 2023, N .C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, is planning a bus tour to highlight agriculture in the Piedmont region of North Carolina! We hope you'll join us to learn more about farming, including behind-the-scenes tours and agricultural activities.

Meet us at the agriculture building at 7:45 AM on Friday, December 1 for a free day of activities and fun! We will start the day at Millstone Creek Orchards where we will enjoy a hayride, apple cider pressing demo, and tasting of apples and other snacks. After the orchards, we will head to enjoy lunch together in Asheboro, followed by a visit to the North Carolina Pottery Center in Seagrove. At the Pottery Center, we will enjoy a tour and pottery demonstration. Finally, we will return to Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville for a private tour. The gardens will be featuring their holiday light display during this season of the year. We hope you'll be inspired to source locally this season after we return to Extension around 6 PM.

We welcome all adults to attend but individuals under the age of 18 are not able to attend this program. Thank you for your understanding!

Accommodation requests related to a disability should be made at least 10 days prior to the event by contacting Kim Gressley, County Extension Director, at (336) 703-2850 or by email at ksgressl@ncsu.edu.
