2024 Chowan County Regional Fair Giant Pumpkin Contest

Contest Rules

This contest is open to 4-H youth (ages 8-18) that reside in Northeastern North Carolina.

Youth must be enrolled in 4-HOnline through their respective counties. To enroll, v2.4honline.com. For questions on enrolling in 4-HOnline, please contact your county's 4-H Agent.

Seed packets will be provided for each youth participant.

Youth must keep a record of the project from soil preparation through harvest. A record book will be provided.

It will be the responsibility of the youth and their parent/guardian to get the pumpkin to the fairgrounds for weigh-in. Date is to be determined.

Cash and trophy prizes will be awarded for the largest pumpkin and best record book.
