The Inside Scoop on Publishing in Educational Research Journals

November 3, 12-1 p.m.

Publishing in a peer-reviewed research journal can seem like a daunting task. Listen and learn from a panel of College of Education faculty members across disciplines who have served as peer-reviewers and as editors for journals in their respective fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions to gain an inside look at the publishing process. Panelist names and disciplines will be shared once confirmed!  Program is open to both master’s and doctoral students, though highly recommended for doctoral students later in their journey.

The Life of a Faculty Member: The Course Prep Process

Nov. 29, 12-1 p.m .

In this session, students will learn about the course preparation process, from tasks, such as choosing a textbook for the class(s) you're assigned, building a syllabus, and more. This session will provide some insight into the life of faculty members for students interested in faculty careers. The session will be led by the College of Education's Dr. Rolanda Mitchell! Program is open to both master’s and doctoral students, though highly recommended for doctoral students interested in faculty life.
