This will be a hands-on, interactive class. Please feel free to bring invasive vegetation samples for discussion and identification as time permits.

Samples of 20 plants known to be invasive in natural ecosystems, right of ways, farmland, wet areas (ponds/stormwater BMPs) and landscapes will be examined for identification characteristics, significance, historical impacts, and best management strategies. Emphasis will be on woody plants listed by the US Forest Service and NC Dept of Agriculture as being invasive and/or plants of concern.

PROFESSIONAL CREDITS:
2 hours of pesticide credits in the following categories: A, D, G, H, I, L, N, O, X
Landscape Contractor license credits: 2L
