Cisco Jabber for Windows is a collaboration application that provides presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, voice messaging, and video calling capabilities on a PC or laptop with a Windows OS.
Note: You must have this service enabled to use it. Visit the Self-Service page to enable the service.
Installation
- Download the Cisco Jabber Installer - https://download.comtech.ncsu.edu/jabber/public/PC/Jabber/CiscoJabberSetup-NCSU.msi) file.
- Double-click the downloaded file CiscoJabberSetup-NCSU.msi
- Click Accept and Install.
- The installation will begin and may take a couple of minutes to complete.
Note: Click Yes if this pop-up displays. - When the installation is complete, check the Launch Cisco Jabber checkbox and click Finish.
Setup
- After installing Cisco Jabber, launch the application and Accept the End User License Agreement.
- On the Cisco Jabber Sign-In screen, enter your Unity ID followed by @ncsu.edu then click Continue.
- Enter your Unity ID and Unity ID Password and click Sign In.
- Cisco Jabber is now ready to use on your computer.
