Avi Aggarwal cares that every student at NC State feels at home and supported. She has worked to advance awareness and inclusiveness for mental health and bolster suicide prevention on campus through serving as president of NC State’s chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and as a Mental Health Ambassador with the Counseling Center. Avi has also served as Director of University Affairs for Student Government, co-founded Hindu Students Association, and has been an anti-human trafficking volunteer for Project FIGHT. She has been a member of NC State Chorale, Wolfpack Bhangra Indian dance team, the ASB Belize Water Quality Service Trip, and Tau Beta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. Avi is a senior studying chemical engineering and minoring in food science.

Lauren Frey is a senior from Raleigh, North Carolina studying environmental sciences and women’s and gender studies with a minor in anthropology. She plans to go to graduate school and eventually become a professor. She currently serves as a mental health ambassador, a peer educator for the Women’s Center, and a sustainability steward. In the past, she co-chaired Service Raleigh and mentored students in an after-school program as part of the Read to L.E.A.D. volunteer program.

Kati is a junior from Belmont, North Carolina majoring in Applied Nutrition Science and Women’s and Gender Studies. On campus, Kati works closely with A PACKed Kitchen, a service-learning program that teaches cooking and nutrition classes to low-income members of the Raleigh community. She has also served as a curriculum developer and instructor for The Empowerment Project, a confidence and leadership development program for middle school girls, and as an instructor with Nutrition NUTS, a nutrition education program for at-risk preschool children. Kati is a Race Director for the 2017 Krispy Kreme Challenge, involved in the Park Scholars and University Scholars programs, and a member of the N.C. State Club Swim Team.

Meredith Biechele is a passionate student leader studying mechanical engineering at North Carolina State University. She is an active member of the University Honors Program where she is an Honors Fellow and member of the student-faculty advisory board. As a third-year in the Honors Village, she has programmed various events focused on inclusion and socially sustainable community-building. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant within Student Government and represents the university as a Chancellor’s Aide. When she is not studying or doing engineering homework, Meredith can be found practicing piano, pursuing her Visionary Leadership from the Center of Service, Leadership, Ethics, and Public Service or volunteering for various events such as the Krispy Kreme Challenge, Service Raleigh, and the Tunnel of Oppression.

Noah Riley is a Sophomore majoring in Genetics with intended minors in Biotechnology and Japanese. Noah engages in a diverse array of activities and organizations around campus, including participating in undergraduate research in biotechnology and serving as a class assistant in the Life Sciences First Year Program, Secretary of the Sciences Council, College of Sciences Student Ambassador, GLBT Center Volunteer, JORI Assistant Editor, and Undergraduate Admissions Intern. During the Summer of 2016, Noah served as an Orientation Leader to assist new students in their transition to NC State. Noah remains passionate about promoting new student success, encouraging dialogue on GLBT issues, and communicating about the sciences.

Mitchell Moravec is a senior cranking out undergraduate degrees in Psychology as well as Material Science & Engineering. This is just one of many examples in which Mitchell achieves the unique tastes of the NC State experience. From research to service to hanging out mindlessly in DH Hill, Mitchell is the iconic member of the Wolfpack. When he's not running between student org meetings, you can find him chilling in the Talley (his second home) starting real trouble, but also getting things moving. With one year left at NC State, Mitchell is fully expecting to generate some final momentum to make the Wolfpack an even greater place.
