4-H Clubs after school.

It’s that time of year again! We are now enrolling 2nd-5th graders in our after-school 4-H Clubs.

  • Bailey Mountain 4-H Club will meet at Mars Hill Elementary School
  • Brush Creek 4-H Club will meet at Brush Creek Elementary School

These clubs will meet at the schools this year, instead of off-site, to eliminate the need for bus transportation. Homeschoolers are still welcome to join!

Schedule: Both clubs will follow the same schedule, meeting every other Thursday from 3:00-5:00 at their respective schools.

  • September 29
  • October 13
  • October 27
  • November 10
  • (skip Thanksgiving week)
  • December 1
  • January-May will continue the every other Thursday schedule.

Registration: Space is limited to 15 youth in each club. Members will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Email misty_varnell@ncsu.edu (Include your child’s name and which club they want to join)
  2. Enroll your child as a 4-H member at v2.4honline.com. IMPORTANT! Any youth who are not enrolled in 4-H Online by September 16th will be dropped from the club and moved to the bottom of the waiting list.

Dues: $25. This helps cover the cost of snacks and meeting supplies for the whole year, September-May. With 14 meetings, the cost per meeting is about $1.80. If your family is not able to pay at this time, please let Misty know when you register your child/ren, as we do have scholarships available.

Theme – Discovering 4-H! Our mission is empowering youth to reach their full potential. One way we do that is by providing a variety of learning experiences to help children discover their interests and passions, in other words, to Find Their Spark!
