There is nothing better than walking into your backyard and picking and eating a blueberry, strawberry, blackberry or other fruit right off a plant that you have nurtured and grown.
Join Horticulture Extension Agent, Debbie Dillion, to learn the basics of home fruit production. Participants will learn about variety selection, required growing conditions, basics of pruning, and common insect and disease problems that you may encounter.
Two identical sessions of this workshop are available to fit your schedule:
Tuesday February 9, 2021 6 p.m.–8 p.m. Register
Wednesday February 10, 2021 10 a.m.-Noon Register
Each class costs $8 per person or if you sign up for all 7 classes, cost is $40. Registration and fee is required by February 2, 2021. Select a date and click on the REGISTER link above. Payment must be made at the Union County Extension Office, 3230 Presson Rd, Monroe, NC 28112.
All classes will be held virtually using Zoom. Once you are registered, the Zoom link will be sent to you on Monday prior to the class.
