The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Swain County Center is now taking orders for 3-4 foot tall apple, persimmon, pear, fig, and plum trees along with 3 year old blueberry transplants. Additional plant options include, blackberry transplants, and flowering tree and shrub varieties. Prices range from $10 to $36. All plant material will arrive bare-rooted. The 4-H Plant Sale will run through Thursday, February 22, 2024. All proceeds go to support 4-H programming in Swain County.

All orders and checks must be received by Thursday, February 22, 2024

  • Plants will be ready for pick up tentatively around March 19-22, 2024. Our office will contact you immediately upon their arrival and work with you on picking up your order. We strongly encourage that plants be picked up the day we call to ensure best quality.
  • All sales and purchases are final – The quality of the plants will need to be evaluated by the purchaser at the time of pick-up. The 4-H program cannot replace or refund you for plants that perish once they leave the Cooperative Extension Office.
  • Printed material on the care of plants will be available upon request.
