This summer, Union County 4-H is pleased to welcome our new 4-H summer interns! Having experience in the 4-H program, the interns can share their personal 4-H experience with others and learn about the operations of the 4-H program and Cooperative Extension. Here’s a little bit more about the two interns.

Kaylyn Gise

Kaylyn Gise:

  • What are you studying in school?

I am attending school at Oklahoma State University majoring in Animal Science: Production Operations.

  • What are you most looking forward to working with Union County 4-H and Cooperative Extension?

I am most excited to learn about what it truly means to be an Extension Agent, working with youth, and teaching others about 4-H.

  • What were some of your favorite summer activities to do as a kid?

As a kid I always loved riding my horse almost every day and spend time with family and friends. As a teen, the thing I always looked forward to most was the 4-H State Show and 4-H Congress.

  • Do you have any pets?

Tons…I have a quarterhorse Beetlejuice, a great pyrenees named Oakley, three cats named Katniss, Rue, and Chloe, and finaly two boer goats named Sailor and Walker. Oh, and a betta fish named Bruce. He’s my college pet!
