4-H is the world’s largest youth development organization and provides young people with hands-on workshops and experiences, allowing them to “learn by doing”. Youth can start their 4-H career at the age of 5, participating in the many different project areas offered through 4-H clubs, camps, and county workshops.

Currituck County 4-H is hosting a field trip to the NC Aquarium in Manteo, NC for youth ages 5-7 on August 21, 2019, from 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Participants will get to explore the aquarium, watch a shark feeding and learn more about the sharks in the aquarium. The fee to attend this field trip is $20 which includes transportation, insurance, fees to enter the aquarium, and the shark program. Participants will need to wear closed-toe shoes and bring a bag lunch.

Pre-registration and workshop fees are required to secure your spot. The registration deadline is  August 14. Fees must be paid within 5 days after the online registration is completed. Space is limited so please do not delay in registering your child. You may register online at go.ncsu.edu/sharkfieldtrip for assistance please call 252-232-2262. Your registration is not complete until payment is received and enrollment in 4-H online is submitted. You can access 4-H online at https://nc.4honline.com Payment may be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center or by mailing a check made payable to Currituck County to 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917.
