Collapse ▲On Thursday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m., state representatives from the USDA and Soil & Water will present a program on their funding availability for the coming year. With the passage of the USDA Farm Bill, funds have been allocated to various targeted programs and those new and/or expanded programs will be discussed. Mr. Julius George, USDA representative, and Ms. Kelly Hedgepeth, NC Soil & Water, will discuss the many programs and how they can benefit the farm.
A chicken meal will be provided at 6 p.m., followed by the program in the Annex meeting room at the Franklin County Agricultural Services Building, 103 South Bickett Blvd., in Louisburg.
