Over the past several weeks our office has been receiving questions about where to purchase local produce and plants during the pandemic. Fortunately, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has deemed agriculture a critical industry, which includes farms, farmer’s markets and farm stands. Below is a listing of resources to help connect customers with local producers. This list is not a complete list of all local sources but is an attempt to direct people to some of the options available. It is critical that shoppers visiting these essential businesses observe the latest CDC recommendations for slowing the spread of the virus.

Many Henderson County growers, businesses and markets have been working tirelessly to implement new policies and purchasing options to keep customers and the community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to note that some markets/businesses are changing locations or altering operation hours during this challenging time so please refer to their website for the latest up-to-date information.
