COVID-19 has been hard on all of us–in one way or another.
If you are in an industry that has been struggling or shut down completely (bar, restaurant, salon, etc), are a resident of Lenoir county, and you have animals that you are worried about feeding, come by the Lenoir County Livestock Arena (located at 1791 Highway 11/55, Kinston, NC), on Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., while supplies last, or please fill out the form in the link below if you do not have transportation.
Lenoir County Cooperative Extension in cooperation with the Lenoir County SPCA is setting up a pet food distribution to help lighten the load for as many Lenoir County residents as we can possibly help. Pets are too often the silent victims when tragedy strikes. No innocent, beloved family pet should have go hungry.
Lenoir County Cooperative Extension and the Lenoir County SPCA would like to help in the best way we know how. We know that pet food is not the only thing on your mind or the only thing that you need, but we know that love your pets very dearly (as we do ours). And if we can help in some small way, that’s exactly what we’d like to do. At this point, every little bit that we can do for each other helps.
If you would like to donate pet food, we will be accepting food or monetary donations (Checks or cash only, make checks payable to Lenoir County Cooperative Extension) on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., at the Lenoir County Farmers Market, or during the week at the Lenoir County Cooperative Extension Office, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 252-527-2191for more information.
