It’s almost that time of the year!

So come by our office and donate

to our 2020 Elder Cheer!

Bring donations by Friday, November 20 at 5 p.m. EST.

WHAT IS ELDER CHEER?

Elder Cheer is an annual event in partnership with Onslow County Department of Social Services to collect personal care items for our senior adults in Onslow County. Our Onslow County 4-H Team collects the donated items, sorts them, and then packs individual stockings/bags that Onslow County DSS will distribute out to seniors.

HOW DO SENIORS RECEIVE THE DONATED ITEMS?

We recommend you contact Onslow County DSS they are responsible for determining the recipients.

CAN WE VOLUNTEER TO HELP PACK?

We typically ask 4-H’ers and volunteers to help in the packing process. Usually held on the first week of December. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be limited to a certain number of volunteers helping. Please reach out to Dawn Stallings if you are interested.

WHERE DO WE DONATE?

Donations can be dropped off to our N.C. Cooperative Extension – Onslow County Center located at the address below:
