festive fall arrangements at front door

Fall is here and many of you are outside decorating your homes for the holidays. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and festive fall arrangements are popping up everywhere!

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is hosting a Festive Fall Arrangement Contest as part of the Fall Family Fun: An online fair event. No prior experience is necessary. Decorate your front porch, mailbox, lamp post, or even a hay bale using your favorite Halloween, Thanksgiving, or festive fall theme. Contestants must use flowers or plants in the display and are encouraged to use pumpkins, gourds, grasses, and appropriate holiday decorations. Then simply take a picture of your creation and submit it.

To enter, sign up for the Fall Family Fun: An Online Fair Event at https://currituckfallfair.eventbrite.com. Once registered, fill out the entry form. Each form requires you to include a photo of your entry. Your photo must include the arrangement that you or your group created.

The arrangements will be judged on overall creativity and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. The deadline to enter is November 6, 2020. Voting will take place from November 10–16. All Fall Family Fun participants will be able to vote for their favorite Festive Fall Arrangement Design. Once voting has ended, winners will be announced on the fair VR main stage at Noon on November 17. Make sure to vote for your favorite design, and check back to see how it’s doing!
