Between Thursday, October 15, and Sunday, October 18, 2020, four goats were stolen from the Polk County 4-H livestock herd, including two pregnant does. All were stolen from inside a locked paddock on Extension property.
As you can imagine, our Extension staff and our whole 4-H community are devastated by this loss. Yes, these goats are crucial to the 4-H Livestock program…but more than that, they are beloved members of our N.C. Cooperative Extension of Polk County family!
Below, you will find pics and descriptions of each goat that has disappeared. If you see any of these goats appear for sale on social media groups, Craigslist, email groups, etc, PLEASE follow up to let us know so that we can alert the appropriate authorities.
