2020 has had its share of challenges, but one good thing that has come from all the craziness is the virtual classes N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center has been able to hold. These classes were free and open to anyone. Classe were held via Zoom and recorded so participants could have access to view them later. In June after people had hunkered down, created gardens, and began looking for new hobbies, we held a series of four live canning classes. These classes we then held as on-demand classes, meaning as soon as participants registered for the classes they were able to view them at their leisure. In November, we held another round of cooking classes that included bread, biscuits, and soups. All of our favorite fall things! In total 370 people participated in these classes from all over the country. If you missed out on these classes don’t worry, we will be readvertising them beginning in January. They are open to everyone, on-demand, and free! Keep an eye on our website for more information about how you can view on-demand classes as well as virtually attend our next set of cooking classes.
