EIT is in the process of implementing a new, more robust email and customer management platform called ActiveCampaign. This will replace Constant Contact for those that use that service and will provide more benefits and features for counties and portals to manage their newsletters, contacts, Eventbrite registrations, and more, all from one simple tool.

With ActiveCampaign you get:

  • One simple, powerful CRM.
    • More than mailing addresses and email. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a technology for managing all of your relationships and interactions with customers.
    • History of communication with each contact. For example, you can see who attends your events and what newsletters they received.

What Can You Do in ActiveCampaign?

  • Manage contacts.
  • Send email campaigns.
  • Export data for mail merge.
  • Collaborate with records across counties and portals.
    • We have nearly 50,000 contacts already migrated already.
    • You only have permission to manage your list(s).
  • Have Eventbrite attendees automatically added to your ActiveCampaign list(s).

What is Needed From You?

As stated, ActiveCampaign will replace Constant Contact lists & Legacy Contacts database, and all counties will eventually be migrated over to the platform. Due to this, EIT needs you to decide:

  • Which list(s) from Constant Contact you want to be migrated.
  • Which codes in the Legacy Contacts DB you want to be migrated.

ActiveCampaign Training

We will be hosting open training/demonstration sessions that are currently being scheduled weekly in February. Stay tuned for a complete schedule of dates and times.

A migration sign-up form will be sent out as soon as we are ready, however, you will not be forced to move to the new system right away. Our plan is to have everything migrated over the next 3-4 months.

FAQs

  • Constant Contact templates have already been migrated into ActiveCampaign.
  • The ActiveCampaign DIY template editor is very easy to use.
  • See our Using ActiveCampaign page for more detailed information.
  • Yes, ActiveCampaign can send SMS, but it’s prohibitively expensive to enable this for organization-wide use. We are looking into alternatives.
