Collapse ▲Due to COVID-19, N.C. Cooperative Extension and North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services are partnering to teach pesticide safety to private pesticide applicators. We will be offering the following online Pesticide Recertification classes virtual and in-person for credits X & V.
If you are a private applicator and your license expires in 2021, you are required to obtain 2.0 credit hours in sub-class “V”- Safety Training. Along with the Safety Training, you will need to obtain 2.0 credit hours in sub-class “X” also.

If you do not complete the required hours of training, within the three-year recertification period, you will then be required to pass a written exam in order to maintain your license.
Any private pesticide applicator in North Carolina is welcome to join. This class will be hosted by N.C. Cooperative Extension – Stokes and Surry County Centers. Speakers will include Bryan Hartman, Horticulture Extension Agent in Stokes County, Joanna Radford, Horticulture Extension Agent in Surry County, and Travis Snodgrass, Pesticide Inspector with N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
