Collapse ▲Caldwell County 4-H is launching a new program in March 2021 – 4-H Team D.C.
The goals of the program are to:
- Learn about and practice civic engagement.
- Act as team members, accountable to one another, learning together, and collectively participating in new experiences.
- Earn spots on an affordable trip to Washington D.C. in 2022 – There will be fundraising/sponsorship opportunities for youth.
Team members commit to participating in activities in five categories and tally their points throughout the program. Youth must complete 50 points to qualify for the trip.
Beginning in the summer of 2021, 4-H plans to hold project in-person meetings. Points will be earned during each meeting, because those present will be participating in civic engagement activities together.
