Collapse ▲In my time here at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center, I have gotten to know quite a few of you guys through meetings and farm visits. We have briefly talked about forming a Robeson County Cattlemen’s Association, and what it could look like for the county. In an effort to start this association, I would like to invite you to start attending these meetings on a monthly basis. Our monthly meetings would focus on several topics related to different aspects of cattle production. I believe a cattlemen’s association would be a great asset to cattle producers in the county with the end goal of increasing our knowledge, our profit, and sharing our farm story in hopes to promote agriculture awareness.
I hope you will join me for our first monthly meeting on September 22, 2022. This meeting will focus on “Meet the Meat” and what happens when cattle leave the farm. There will be a magnetic carcass that allows you to see where beef cuts are located. It should be an interesting topic.
Mark your calendars for the proposed dates in October and November. More information will be sent out at a later date.
