Collapse ▲Area cattle producers are invited to participate in a Beef Cattle Marketing Meeting and dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 19th, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension-Franklin County Center annex,103 S. Bickett Blvd., beginning with a meal sponsored by Novozymes at 6 p.m., followed by the educational and informative programs. Updates on cattle trends and marketing information, understanding cattle futures, and the new USDA “LRP” (Livestock Risk Protection Program) will be discussed. Special guest via Zoom will be Dr. Andrew Griffith, Ag Economist with University of Tennessee, to give his forecast for pricing and futures and how to navigate the “LRP” government risk management program for cattle marketing. Other representatives with the “LRP” will also be in attendance to answer your questions. Registration is required.
