High School Turfgrass Academy

Get Your Hands-On, On the Green

The annual NC State Turfgrass Academy offers NC high school students a chance to learn about NC State University’s turfgrass degree and turf career options. Our small-group format allows students to personally connect with University faculty and get a glimpse of their future in turf.

Attendees will: Turfgrass at NC State

Visit our classroom and research facilities
Get hands-on-turf experience
Meet NC State University turf students to learn about their major
Connect with the faculty, staff, and scientists who lead the turfgrass degree program, field labs and Lonnie Poole Golf Course

All students must have an accompanying chaperone at all times. Students may attend one or both days. Registration is $30/person.
