About this event

Safe Plates is a 12-hour Food Safety Certification Course developed by North Carolina State University Extension. It is paired with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals test (NRFSP) test which is approved by ANSI (American National Standards Institution). This certification exam is accepted by your local Health Department.

If passing the exam, your certification will meet the FDA 2017 Food Code and the North Carolina Food Code, and it is valid throughout the United States for 5 years from the date of the exam. Also, the certificate belongs to the person passing the exam and not the business.
