2020 Citizen's Police Academy
Dates: February 19th, 2020 to April 15th, 2020 (Every Wednesday excluding Spring Break)
Times: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Locations: NCSU Police Department & Wake County Firearms Education & Training Center
Requirements:
*Must be 18 years of Age.
*Must be a member of the NCSU Community (Student, Faculty, Staff, On-Campus Corporate/Government Partner, On-Campus Non-Affiliated Resident, etc).
*Must be willing to submit to a background check (Note: NC State University Police will conduct a criminal background check on each applicant as part of the Citizen's Police Academy application process. Serious or extensive criminal histories will be considered a disqualifier for program participation.).
*Must be willing to commit to most of the 8 training days (Note: The Firearms Training portion of the Academy will be divided into two dates. Both dates are mandatory if you wish to participate at the Firing Range). Preference may be given to applicants who can attend all 8 training days.
