Union County 4-H is offering the 4-H Family Gardening Kit for families to start their own garden to help produce fun and food over the summer and beyond using a container.
Each kit will include:
- Three-Gallon Pots for container gardening
- Potting Soil Mix including fertilizer
- Tomato, Pepper, and Basil starter plants
- Gardening Trowel
As a participant, families will receive access to instructional videos and resources provided by the Union County Cooperative Extension staff.
The cost is $20, but free to families in need of financial assistance. Pre-registration is required from March 20 to April 20. No registrations will be made at the pick-up sites.
Families will be assigned a pick-up day to receive their items for the kit at one of the following locations between May 1-May 29:
- Town of Indian Trail
- Wingate Community Garden
- Union County Agricultural Center
