The state's blueberry farms are gearing up for the season. Here are local farms that have blueberry crops this year.

The state's blueberry farms are gearing up for the season. Here are local farms that have blueberry crops that are available for pick-your-own this year. Be sure to check ahead to make sure there are still plenty of berries for customers before you head out.
Chatham County Blueberries
Farrell's Creek Farm, Apex. Blueberries are ready for picking.
Durham County Blueberries
Herndon Hills Farms, Durham. You'll need to make an appointment to pick berries at Herndon Hills this year.
Architectural Trees, Bahama. This year, the farm is renting entire rows for the season as part of its COVID-19 measures.
Franklin County Blueberries
Vollmer Farm, Bunn. The farm will be open for blueberry and blackberry picking.
Harnett County Blueberries
Dr. Young's Pond Berry Farm, Angier. It's open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays with blackberries and blueberries. (This is one of my favorite places to pick berries).
Johnston County Blueberries
Creekside Farm Berries, Selma. The farm opened over the weekend with blueberries.
Lee County Blueberries
Blueberry Hill U-Pick, Sanford. It's offering blueberries and blackberries.
Orange County Blueberries
Hawk Hill Berry Farm, Mebane. The farm plans to open this season.
Minka Farm, Efland. The farm is open for picking, but limiting visitors and requiring people to sign up for a time slot.
Cedar Grove Blueberry Farm, Cedar Grove. The farm's Facebook page says it's opening very soon.
Randolph County Blueberries
Mill Stone Creek Orchards, Ramseur. The orchard has both blueberries and blackberries.
Wake County Blueberries
Granny Pearls Farm, Zebulon. The farm is open for picking.
