Youth Activities - User Guide

Parents/Guardians will need a “Brickyard Account” to log into the REPORTER system. Brickyard users can add persons under 18 to their account’s “Family,” which allows them to select that child when applying or registering for youth activities.

Family accounts are a subsection of your main profile account. This is where your children’s profiles will be until they reach the age of 18.

Account Creation & Activity Selection

Account Creation & Activity Selection

Use these steps to begin registering by selecting the activity for registration, creating an account (if needed), and logging in.

  1. Click the link you were provided to register for the program.  This will open the registration page in REPORTER.
  2. Select the option Login to Sign Up.
  3. If you do not have an NC State Brickyard account, select the Create a New Account button on the login screen.
  1. Enter your email address, name, and password on the Brickyard Account page. The page will indicate if you need help with the account setup, such as not meeting password rules. Ensure all regulations are met and click Create Account to create your new Brickyard Account.
  1. Once your account has been created, you will return to the REPORTER page.  Click the option for Brickyard Login.
  2. Enter your email address and password to log in.

Once logged in, you should see the activity in your cart.

Registering For a Youth Activity

  1. Enter the deep link into your browser; this will pull up a page to register for that specific activity.
  2. You may have to click the green Log in to Sign Up button and then log in.
  3. You may have several different options: Register and Add to Shopping Cart.
  1. If you are registering yourself, select register, and you will be taken directly to checkout.
  2. If you are registering someone else, select Add to the shopping cart. Click the cart button at the top right of the page.

  1. Select the child you wish to register on the next page from the drop-down. If you want to register more than one child, you can add multiple participants by changing the No. Of Participants (number of participants) field.
  1. You can apply a discount code for the participant by clicking the green Apply a Discount Code button.
  2. If registration questions are required, click on the “Incomplete” emblem.
  1. Make sure to check the agree to registration policies statement box.
  2. Click the green Proceed to Order Summary button.

  1. Select payment if applicable on the order summary page, then click Check Out.
  1. If you select, I will pay now with a credit card. You will be guided through our secure payment processor screens to confirm your total, enter your credit card information and billing address, and confirm your payment. You will receive a receipt via email.
  2. If you select I will Pay later, you can pay later. To do so, start on the dashboard. Under Upcoming Youth Activities, select the green Pay button next to the corresponding youth activity. Select the Pay with Credit Card button.
  1. Next, you will be brought to the Order Summary page. You will receive an email from reporter_registrations@ncsu.edu informing you of the registration and giving you the activity details.

Registering with a Deep Link

                        

If you receive a deep link, you will go to that link, click the green Add to Cart button, and then go to the shopping cart.

On the following page, you will click the drop-down for Participant 1 and select the minor you wish to register. If you need to register more than one minor, you will click the plus sign next to “No. of Participants” to increase the number or enter the desired amount in the field.

Check the box at the bottom of the page confirming that you have read the registration policies.

Next, click the green Proceed to Order Summary button. This will bring you to your cart.

In the cart, if you register for an activity with payment, you can select how you wish to pay from the dropdown. Then, click the green Checkout button.

You have now registered for a Youth Activity! The next page will be your order summary, and you will also receive a confirmation email with the registration details.

From the order summary page, you can click the blue Complete Forms button at the top if you wish to fill out the required forms right then, or you can click the blue Return to Home button to return to the dashboard.

Registering Through the Course Catalog

To Register for particular courses, you must go through the Reporter catalog. Select and click on the left side of the screen catalog under home. Then, you will be brought to the option in the middle of the screen: Explore Youth Activities.

Now, you will be brought to a site that will allow you to search for any options for youth activities. There are advanced search fields to help narrow down search results. Any major camps will be shown on the right of the search options, with options added to the cart and the waitlist. You will also see any restrictions, such as those based on age. Also available is the number of seats that remain.


Youth Activity Dashboard

To find the Youth Activity Dashboard, you must first have a child register for a youth activity. Once they are registered, on the main home page, you will find additional information about the activity that they are in.

Filling Out Activity Form

To fill out your child's Activity Form for the program they are registered for, start on the homepage and then go to the Upcoming Youth Activities section. Once there, click the View/Edit Forms button to open a pop-up with various forms you can fill out. Click the forms to fill them out or to print them at home.

Canceling Your Registration

To cancel your registration for your child, you will want to be on the main home page of REPORTER. From the home page, scroll down to the Upcoming Youth Activities section and click the View Details button. This will open a pop-up where you have additional information about your child’s activity. A red button at the bottom of this pop-up says Cancel Registration. Click this, and then fill out an explanation of why you are dropping if applicable. Your cancellation request will be sent to the Activity Admin, who will then approve or deny your request.

Transferring Your Registration


Completing Checkout & Payment

If applicable, you will be prompted to indicate your payment method and provide the relevant information for completing your transaction during checkout.

  1. Click the “-- Please Select a Payment Option --” dropdown and select your payment option.
  2. Click “Checkout” at the bottom to continue.
  1. After clicking “Checkout,” you will be directed to our payment processor to complete your payment.  (Note that a $50 deposit is due at the time of registration for all payment plan orders.). Click “Continue” to complete payment.
  2. Enter your credit card information, billing address, & contact information. Click “Continue” to proceed.
  3. Confirm your payment details and select Continue to submit your payment.
  4. Once your payment is processed, you will return to the Order Confirmation page.  Your registration details and links to complete the required camper forms are here.
