Registration is not required but an RSVP helps us with meeting preparation. If you plan on attending please RSVP online. The meeting is free and open to the general public.
The focus of the meeting will be TREES! Chatham County Horticulture Extension Agent Matt Jones will discuss the best native trees for home landscapes, including their ornamental and horticultural features with particular emphasis on each specie’s benefits to wildlife. Phil Cox from Grand Trees of Chatham will share some of their success stories of identifying champion trees and next steps for their organization. CCP Steering Committee Member Catherine Deininger will introduce online i-Tree tools that can be used to answer quantitatively the question of what benefits do trees provide?
The meeting will take place at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US-64 W BUS, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
