    • They provide a safe,  fun, comfortable way to explore and learn about horticulture around the world. A local expert, a local bus driver, and an Extension professional are taking care of you every step of the way
    • Small boutique tours (many components that are not available on large commercial tours): Very nice unique accommodations; Easy access to see, hear, and ask questions;  Opportunity to get to know guides and fellow travelers; Everyone included in group activities; Time for individual adventures.
    • Designed specifically for NC EMG volunteers, focused on horticulture
    • EMG Continuing Education Hours. Content hours are identified for each specific tour. The EMG traveler must get pre-approval of hours from their EMG county coordinator.
    • Opportunity to build relationships with other passionate gardeners
    • Outstanding reviews from previous travelers. They love the knowledge and camaraderie they experience!

If you are guiding a trip, once the initial EMG volunteer-only registration period ends, consider distributing an invitation through your personal networks – many guides find their volunteers, colleagues, neighbors, relatives, and friends are interested in going on a tour they lead. Clearly, these are not our primary target audience, but if we are just a few shy of sending you and our target audience on an adventure, this may make it possible. Put the word out early and ask folks who care about you to help spread the word.
