- Farm to School Storybooks & Activity Guides (NCDA&CS Farm to School) – The North Carolina Department of Agriculture Farm to School Program has created downloadable storybooks that tell the story of a NC crop from the farm to the cafeteria. The activity guides include activities to use in the classroom and identify the Standards of Learning they meet.
- Sweetpotato Lesson Plans (NC Sweetpotato Commission) – The North Carolina SweetPotato Commission collaborated with North Carolina Ag in the Classroom to develop classroom-ready lesson plans featuring sweet potatoes for grades K-12, including a section focusing on Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS).
- Preparing Healthy Food Lesson Plans (FoodCorps) – The FoodCorps lessons include hands-on experiential activities to engage kids in learning about healthy food. The Preparing Healthy Food lesson plans help students develop skills in gardening, cooking, and accessing healthy foods.
- Recipe Lesson Plans (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project, Growing Minds) – The Growing Minds Program at the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project has developed a recipe lesson plan for each month that is accompanied by a book.
