We are hosting a Shiitake mushroom workshop. Did you know mushrooms are considered a powerhouse superfood? They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients and are the ONLY vegetarian source of Vitamin D. Although they may be considered a specialty crop, they are easy to grow and you can grow them in your own backyard!

You will leave the workshop with one inoculated log to take home and grow your very own mushrooms. We will work outside part of the time so dress accordingly.
We will use power tools, manual tools, and hot wax. Personal safety is of the utmost importance.
The cost is $20, payable by check or money order at the office, made to Robeson County Cooperative Extension. Space is limited, so the first 20 participants to pay will be able to attend. Again, payment reserves your place at the workshop.
