CFM – Maintenance Director

Coker Feed Mill is a small but growing family-owned operation looking to make a big impact on the industry in our region. We manufacture the best value commercial textured feeds for backyard and family farms and small to mid-sized stables, and distribute our products through our primary location and a steadily growing reseller network. As demand for our products is increasing rapidly, we are in critical need of a passionate, dedicated individual to maintain and improve our current facilities and to plan for improvement and expansion projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of mill equipment and processes, including but not limited to mixing units, cleaners, cup elevators, paddle drags, augers, grains storage/handling, and palletizing robots.
  • Project planning and systems engineering experience with proven results
  • Skilled in welding and fabrication, mechanics, and electrical
  • Automations systems/ERP software experience
  • Desire to get hands-on dirty and sweaty 
  • Passion to make improvements and see results
  • Growth-orientation
  • Ability to develop comradery and elevate a team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the leadership team to develop plans and budgets for system improvements and additions. Take the lead on research, design, coordination, and implementation of projects. 
  • Update and implement preventative maintenance of existing equipment and facilities
  • Update and implement safety procedures to ensure OSHA compliance
  • Implement systems to improve quality of work life
  • Improve quality control systems
  • Budget, schedule, and oversee major and minor repair and improvement projects

  • Decreased waste and unplanned downtime
  • Smooth integration of expansion projects
  • Improve state of facilities and supplies
  • Improve quality of work life and safety
  • Increase productivity rates
  • Maintain PM systems for facilities 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $80,000-$90,000 DOE
  • 2 weeks annual PTO (112 hours) + paid holidays & federal holidays
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • IRA Retirement plans with 3% contribution matching
  • Discretionary bonuses and profit share (typically $6K +)
