The Basics of Property Ownership and Transfer – January 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
A review of title to land and business assets and how their disposition. This section will cover how assets are owned, the requirements of a sale or gift of such assets, and how they are distributed with or without a will, as well as a discussion of the challenges of land held by two or more people, including as “heirs property.”

Legal Instruments in Property Management – February 27th at 2:00 p.m.
An overview of how trusts, limited liability companies, and other agreements operate to manage and transfer interests in land and business property in planning and execution of farm succession. This section will provide a case study illustration of legal instruments in action.
