Spend the summer with 4-H, where youth "learn by doing!"

*Please note that registration for these camps is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Completion of the Google Form DOES NOT guarantee a youth's registration. Instead, you will receive a confirmation email from Lexi Swick (aswick@ncsu.edu). Waitlists will be created as needed.

June 18 – June 20 | 8 AM – 5 PMRising 6th – 9th grade$50
Person County 4-H is hosting an ag & wildlife day camp for local youth! Explore local farms to see agriculture in action, create art using nature, visit the Museum of Life + Science in Durham, NC, and more!
Minimum: 4 participantsLimit: 10 participants
June 24 – June 27 | 8 AM – 5 PMRising 3rd – 5th grade$100
4-H is pairing with Person County Emergency Services to offer this day camp for elementary youth. Participants will learn all about emergency preparedness, including careers in 911, firefighting, emergency medical services, and law enforcement. Youth will take field trips, build first-aid kits, work together to address staged emergencies, and more. This camp includes a K9 demonstration and visit from Duke LifeFlight. Parents/guardians are invited to attend the closing ceremony. Lunch will be included each day.

July 2 | 9 AM – 3 PMRising 3rd – 8th grade$25
Join 4-H for a tie-dye and textiles camp! This camp will teach youth about color theory, textiles, folding techniques, and fabric dyeing. Youth can even enter their creations in the NC State Fair in the fall!

July 16 – July 18 | 8 AM - 4:30 PM Rising 6th – 8th grade$30
Person County 4-H is pairing with several other counties for 4-H Investigates, a forensics day camp for local youth. Youth will learn several forensic techniques, including examining evidence under a microscope, interpreting staged blood spatters, and more! Transportation to Alamance County will be provided each day. Lunch will be included each day.

July 30 July 31 | 9 AM – 12 PMCloverbuds (ages 5 7 as of Jan 1)$15
This fun camp is all about the Cloverbuds! Youth will participate in a wide variety of fun and exciting activities which include science experiments, crafts, games, and much more!
Minimum: 4 participantsLimit: 10 participants

  • Please review the 2024 4-H Summer Programs Participant Handbook after registration and direct any questions to 4-H Agent Lexi Swick (aswick@ncsu.edu; (336) 599-1195)
  • Enroll/Reenroll youth members in 4-H Online prior to camp. This is required for participation.
  • Be sure to deliver payment (cash/check only) to the Person County Cooperative Extension Office, 304 S. Morgan St., Room 123, Roxboro, NC 27573 within two weeks of receiving your invoice.
