Special Collections Research Center librarians welcome the opportunity to imagine new ways to introduce archival research, primary source literacy, and hands-on activities with collections materials that can enrich your students’ classroom experience and reinforce key course concepts. We invite instructors teaching at all levels in all departments to consider a class visit with Special Collections during your course. We are able to offer different class formats to meet your needs, including virtual and asynchronous instruction, and in-person sessions in Hill Library teaching spaces or in your classroom.
Class Request Process
  • Please us this form to request a class session with the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC). This helps us gather all of the necessary information to schedule and plan your session.
  • Course instructors are required to be present for class sessions with SCRC staff, but special circumstances can be accommodated. If you are unable to be present for your session, please notify SCRC staff as far in advance as possible.
  • It is suggested that requests be submitted as early as possible. Please note that requests made less than three weeks in advance may not be fulfilled.
  • Special Collections Research Center staff will follow up within 5 business days to confirm or decline your request and to schedule a planning meeting if necessary. Submitting a request does not automatically reserve the time.
