The 2020 Youth Market Turkey Show will be held during the NC State Fair, with turkey check-in on October 14th, and the show on Friday, October 16th starting at 8a.m. Participants in the show are evaluated on the overall weight of their turkeys, the muscling in the breast and legs, and how well each participant has taken care of their bird. Each participant will receive 5 lbs of feed to get the birds off to a good start. The Youth Market Turkey Show is open to youth ages 5-18 who will be in grades K-12 on the day of the show.
There is a $15 registration fee due by February 28th. All checks should be made payable to Currituck County and delivered, by mail or in person, to the Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Registration is not complete until the registration fee is received.
