Statement from Planning Committee

January 5, 2021
The Central Piedmont Junior Livestock Show & Sale Committee met on January 4, 2021, and made the decision to continue preparing for the Show planned for April 13–14 in Hillsborough. We encourage all potential exhibitors to purchase their animals and prepare for the show. Review the 2021 Show Rules for animal age and on-farm date requirements.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s show will be structured differently from past years. Many new safety protocols will be in place for attendees, volunteers, and the public. More information will be released in the coming weeks. A subcommittee of the livestock show planning committee will meet on January 11 to discuss the show schedule and that will be posted on the show website when it is ready. Please note that to accommodate the number of exhibitors and attendees, the show schedule may be extended by an extra day for a total of three days. Therefore, please check back on this site regularly for updates to the schedule, dates, and safety protocols.
Registration for exhibitors will open around January 20 with the final day to register set for March 15.
Please know that the planning committee along with all participating partners are committed to the safety of all exhibitors, volunteers, advisors, and their family members. While we continue to move forward with planning, we are also monitoring the COVID-19 situation and if need be, will cancel the show if we do not see that it is feasible to conduct the show safely.
